Ez drummer 2 reaper3/28/2024 ![]() ![]() Some people like using a low pass and high pass filter on the guitars but I typically leave those alone on rhythm tracks and put them on the leads, just to give the leads enough difference in sound to stand out a little more from the rhythm guitars. Lastly put a limiter on there to get the volume up, but watch that it is only floating around the threshold slider going up and down just a bit, if you go too much on this it will distort the hell out of the mix.Įdit: for your guitar buss, use a multi band compressor on the low end of guitars, so they aren't fighting with the bass/kick drum. Once in the DAW, I do all my EQ, compression, reverb etc there. I could pan later, in the DAW when mixing, but I like to hear each piece in its final place when writing. The short version is that I can't get Reaper to 'see' EzDrummer, even when I point the VST path to the appropriate location. dll (Win 8.1) Long time lurker, very sporadic poster, and I'm trying to sort out an EzDrummer 2 issue on Reaper - 4.71, I believe. To me, throwing ReaXComp on next and pulling the levels down around -2db really brings the mix to life. Set up my panning and bleed levels in Superior Drummer, then bounce it all out to my DAW when the MIDI is written. Reaper and EzDrummer 2 issue - Reaper doesn't 'see'. From there I put GClip after the comp to control the peaks a little more. That will bring down some of the louder notes like snares or certain cymbals. ![]() The best piece of advice I can give you would be once you get a mix sounding the way you like it, put a compressor on the master buss, just something subtle to bring the mix down a touch, preferably something that has the vu needle where you can see it just barely jumping around. Like the others have said, we can make you a template to get going but it comes down to your preference in the end on how it should sound. ![]()
